Cork Heritage Open Day 2007
Without a doubt the Cork Heritage Open Day provided a unique insight into many special and spectacular examples of Corks built heritage. The event was greeted with great enthusiasm by building owners and members of the public alike with an estimated 5000 people participating in the day.
Cork Heritage Open Day was opened by the Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr. Sean Martin at the National Sculpture Factory where he paid tribute in particular to all of the building owners and proprietors for their generosity and support for this exciting event. He also welcomed the new additions to the event this year which highlighted the important link between Corks Built Heritage and Cultural Heritage and the special feature on Corks Historic Post boxes.
